One of the most difficult biscotti flavors to find is the Anise. When you do get one the Anise flavor is so overwhelming it tastes like medicine or there is just no anise. My first taste of the Anise biscotti from The Biscotti Company was surprise. They got it right. That lovely anise flavor is there and lasts just long enough in your mouth to really enjoy it. Ordered anise biscottis. Being married into the Italian family for over 40years, I’ve had many biscottis. Although the anise biscotti is a good cookie, it does lack anise flavoring.
This cookie is very dry and crunchy with a buttery aftertaste. It tastes good, as if it’s a crunchy chocolate chip cookie base without the chocolate chips. just does not taste anything like anise. I would be more likely will try a different flavor at this point?

These are not your typical Anise biscotti, much, much better 🙂 I love anise, black licorice and anything that flavor, but it usually isn’t my husbands fave flavor.
