Wine & Biscotti Pairings on Long Island

A summer afternoon at Duck Walk Vineyards, a chilled limoncello, and our Fig Walnut & Chocolate Biscotti.

Wine and biscotti on a summer table at Duck Walk Vineyards in Southold, Long Island
Duck Walk Vineyards, Southold NY. Biscotti, friends, and a slow summer afternoon.

Summer on the North Fork feels special. Sun on the vines, a light breeze off the water, and long tables where neighbors share simple things done well. We brought our biscotti to Duck Walk Vineyards in Southold and spent the day tasting, talking, and making new pairings that felt like summer in a bite.

The star was our Fig Walnut & Chocolate Biscotti. Sweet fig and toasted walnut meet dark chocolate for a balanced, rounded bite. With a chilled limoncello, the citrus lifted the cocoa and made the fig taste brighter. By the end of the day, the limoncello was gone and so was the biscotti.

Try this trick. A few guests added a thin smear of fresh goat cheese to the fig biscotti. The creamy, tangy bite made the chocolate taste deeper and the fig a little sweeter. Simple and very good.

Easy Pairings To Copy At Home

  • Fig Walnut & Chocolate + Limoncello: bright citrus with cocoa and fig. Serve well chilled.
  • Cranberry Pistachio + Dry Rosé: berry notes and a clean finish. Great for afternoons.
  • Double Chocolate + Cabernet Sauvignon: bold and rich. Perfect after dinner.

If you are planning a small get-together, set out a few wines, a soft cheese, and a board of handcrafted biscotti. Let your guests make their own matches. It turns a simple table into something people remember.
